Dirk Butchko Pro Vet

Today 12-29-2023 took my cat to Provet Dr Dirk Butchko office on Van Buren Ave. Terrible experience. Called the day before to let them know my cat has a cyst that needs to be drained or removed. They told me to have him fast since night before because they'll need to put him under anesthesia. I said ok. We Arrived at 8am and put our name on the list which is protocol there- first come first serve. I've been here before so I knew the drill. Gloria at reception desk was nice and I waited to be seen. Once in examination room with Kandra the assistant- notified me they had no available time today to do the procedure and I'd have to come back in a week or so. What an inconvenience! why didn't they tell me that yesterday when I called?? I noticed poop in the corner and said "what is that?" She joked it off and didn't even clean it up! She left the room to write up an estimate of the procedure for my cat's cyst that needed to be drained and while she was out of the room I noticed a puddle of urine on the other side of exam table on floor. When another assistant popped her head in- I said- this room is disgusting! there's a pile of poop in one corner and a puddle of pee by the chair I was sitting in. she said she'd have someone come and clean it right away. Did they?? No. The first assistant Kandra, came back with a terrible estimate charging me for teeth cleaning! Because she said since my cat is over 10 they have to clean his teeth. I said he might be 8 or 9 but I'm not sure because he was my son's cat. She says- if they are over 6 yrs they need their teeth clean. She showed me the bill for blood work, anesthesia, medications, other tests, teeth cleaning then the draining of the cyst- a long list over $1000! I said NoWay! I'll pay $500 but not $1000. I'm so disappointed and will Never come back! Very unprofessional and a rip off!

This office and staff are AMAZING!!! We had to put our baby Chief down after 14 amazing, loving, loyal years. The vet and staff were so compassionate, they explained everything very well, they were gentle with him and i felt they treated our baby as if he were there own. To all the staff who attended to Chief, Words cant explain our gratitude for your kindness and compassion during such a difficult time for us. We will never take our other babies to anyone. I 100% recommend Dirk Butchko (Van Buren location) for your babies needs....

10/10 customer service, pet care, and compassion. I love everyone here and how amazing they are with my babies. Thank you guys a million times! They are so friendly, understanding, and so kind. If you are hesitant on bringing your babies here for help, please give them a chance. They’re the only one I go to! Reasonably priced and they love your babies like their own.

I traveled 57 miles to be treated by badly. 1st the I asked the receptionist via phone while waiting in the parking about helping me for only a rabies shot for my three month cane Corso and she responded by saying no you can't take cut in line. Later while filling out a form about if 1st time there and I answered yes but it was wrong and the person at front was bothered because I got it wrong ripped the form in an anger manner and using a rude tone . I let her know I didn't appreciate the tone I asked for manager who didn't make feel welcome and asked me to step in a waiting room to talk I asked to speak with doctors Butchko she then informed me that puppy needed to be 3 months old which incorrect because the laws changed effective 2024 to be 16 weeks. Another entrrrd the eoom once thw manager left to inform that yjw wouls be unlawful an d invalid While waiting I herd an employee telling a customer multiple times that her dog was lipping which felt excessive. I then walked because I had had enough bad customer service and drove Michael Butchko qebyated fiend 🧡

In 2021 I rescued two female feral kitties….or rather they rescued me! They showed up at barely 5 weeks old and, because I had two senior females in the house, I had to keep them outside. I fed them, bought heating pads for their houses, and tended to their every need. When it was time for spaying, no vet in Moreno Valley would touch them…unless I paid $250-450 EACH! I even called Mary Roberts and the earliest appointment was March (they’d be 7 months old by then and probably pregnant). I heard about Dirk Butchko (when I was a young adult we took our pets to his dad) and called. So glad I did! He tested them, gave second shots, spaying, and pain meds (for both) for at a cost of less than it would have for 1 kitty in Moreno Valley. Plus…because they were “feral) although very living and tame) most vets refused to see them. I was so impressed I returned with 3 more feral kitten in 2023 for same services (again, still less than the cost of 1 in MV) and they now have a living home (together) across the street! The ladies in the front were all friendly and I’m very happy with the care they were given! Thank You!!!!

Friendly and caring staff. Listened to my concerns and diagnosed accordingly. Very affordable for the medication my dog was prescribed(three vaccinations and three meds along with ex rays and office visit) under $400. Of course, I caught the issue right way. This was my first time there and I am impressed. I think I found my fur baby a new vet.
